Job Description:

As a Payroll Clerk, you would be responsible for handling all payroll edits on a daily basis, computing banquet gratuities, fielding and researching questions in a timely manner, running accurate reports for management and prioritizing payroll deadlines in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Process payroll for all hotel team members. Review accuracy of payroll and deductions and reports all discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Prepare payroll reports, conduct annual record retention procedures, assist in processing quarterly, year-end closings (Disability, W-2's).
  • Process tips and gratuities.Food & Beverage accounts payable processing. What are we looking for? Education: College degree preferred Experience: Prior work experience in Finance/Accounting Required. Payroll experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred. Experience with ADP System preferred. Grooming: All employees are required to maintain a well-groomed appearance (specific standards available). SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills or abilities.
    • Ability to operate office equipment including, but not limited to: 10 key calculator, personal computer, printer, and other office equipment such as fax machine and copier.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
    • Perform any duties and responsibilities asked by Director or Asst. Director of Finance based upon departmental needs.
    • Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer using various computer software programs, including, but not limited to: MS Word/Excel/Delphi.
    • Ability to effectively deal with guest and team member concerns in a friendly and positive manner, and listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and pro-active
    • solutions.
    • Ability to listen effectively and be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
    • Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within initial training period after team members begin work.
