Position Title: - HR Generalist, Onsite for our clientClient
Name: Pacific Fence and Wire Position Status: 30 hours/week
Location: Clackamas, OR Work Arrangement: In officeReporting to:
-HR Business Partner -Overview of HR services for this client:The
HR Generalist acts as point of contact for Human Resources and
serves as the liaison between Pacific Fence and Wire (PFW) and
Xenium. In conjunction with Xeniums HR Business Partner, the HR
Generalist provides HR guidance/compliance. The HR Generalist
manages and continuously improves all aspects of the Recruiting,
Hiring and Onboarding process, audits files and HR processes for
completeness and compliance, while supporting with HR functions
associated with Department of Transportation (DOT) processes and
requirements (will work with outsourced DOT consultant.What are the
Primary Duties & Responsibilities?
- Responds to HR questions from managers and employees as well as
providing disciplinary and coaching support. Utilizes HRBP for
assistance/guidance with technical and strategic HR issues.
- Acts as a resource for employees in all different aspects of
HR.
- Assists managers in the recruiting process which includes
drafting and posting of the job opening, screening resumes,
coordination of offer and pre-employment screening (drug screen,
and criminal background checks).
- Schedules and conducts new hire and benefits orientations and
if applicable, delivers follow up paperwork to Xenium.
- Works collaboratively with the Accounting Department answering
internal payroll, timekeeping and other compliance questions.
- Assists with administering the companys Benefits programs
including Health Insurance, FSA, HRA, etc.
- Works with managers to ensure that all the proper documentation
is in place for all aspects of HR.
- Participates in employee counseling and termination meetings as
appropriate.
- Coordinates all aspects of terminations in conjunction with the
Xenium HRBP.
- Works with the HRBP in implementing and managing HR project
deliverables to include: Updating the Employee Handbook, Job
Descriptions, Compensation, HR Audits, Employee Satisfaction
Surveys, Performance Management Programs, Trainings and other
client company objectives.
- Project manages current HR processes in conjunction with onsite
Managers.
- Manages and assists in the development of people systems and
recognition programs.
- Assists with tracking on-time performance reviews. Reviews
incoming performance reviews for completeness and obtains
appropriate signatures. -
- Works with the Xenium team to produce the appropriate leave
paperwork and tracks all leaves for employees.
- Attends monthly safety committee, coordinates with Xenium on
annual OSHA log for posting and for process set up.
- Administers the workers compensation process.
- Works with third party Safety Vendor in managing client safety
programs and scheduling walk-throughs.
- Participates in the client meetings to discuss HR related
assigned topics as needed.
- Attends relevant seminars and training workshops to keep
abreast of HR best practices as well as employment law
updates.
- Maintains the personnel filing system to include applicants,
active and inactive employees.
- Responds to all unemployment claims and participates in
hearings when needed.
- Drives and completes miscellaneous HR projects as assigned.What
qualifies you for this position?
- Two to three years related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience; or bachelors
degree from a four-year college or university combined with at
least three years of applicable experience. Recruiting experience
preferred.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and work
independently.
- Possess excellent listening, verbal, and written communication
skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced
environment.
- Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, adaptability, and
flexibility. -
