IneligibleSUMMARYThis position is responsible for developing
training curricula and plans to ensure that NHC staff receives the
initial and ongoing training needed to use Epic effectively,
perform clinical workflows, and maintain their clinical competency.
This requires a coordinated and collaborative approach with
multiple departments, including Quality Improvement, Revenue Cycle,
Dental, Pharmacy, and Primary Care, among others. Will supply
backup support to the EHR Support Analyst in end-user support as
needed.Essential Job DutiesDevelop structured onboarding
orientation and training for new hires.Assess the Epic training
needs by position and develop appropriate solutions.Audit
skills/knowledge by performing periodic evaluations and competency
checks.Serve as a critical resource for the ongoing development and
training of staff.Supply training to staff in a non-patient contact
setting (off-the-floor) and a patient contact setting
(on-the-floor; elbow support).Develop role-based training content,
independently or with team members, using various software
programs, tools, and applications. Design, develop, and maintain
instructional materials.Contribute to revising and updating
training information. Aid in editing and creating policies and
procedures.Building and testing of training environments and
provide support with troubleshooting issues.Prepare and impart
learning modules that can be taught both in a classroom setting and
a web-based environment.Maintain strong working knowledge of EMR
and general computer applications.Coordinate the rollout and
training of new Epic workflows during upgrades and when minor
workflows change.Coordinate the curriculum delivery methods, create
and maintain a realistic training environment, create and maintain
a course catalog and training schedule, and ensure all users are
trained before accessing the production environment.Attends clinic
team meetings at Managers discretion as Epic expert and OCHIN
liaison.Participates as a key clinic implementation team member to
understand workflows, configuration, and decisions to assist with
project coordination and site readiness.Collaborates with clinic
leadership and users to identify opportunities for efficiencies in
clinic operations, clinical practice support, and improved health
outcomes.Creates and implements special projects in response to
OCHIN or NHC-driven changes.Provide customer service support as a
backup to the EHR Support Analyst, as needed.Performs other duties

equivalent, is required.Associates Degree (AA), or a graduate of an
accredited medical or dental training program with at least two
years experience in that role, is preferred.1-2 years of Epic
experience is required.Experience as an Epic Trainer, Skills-Based
Trainer, EHR Support Analyst, or similar role required; can train
1-2 job roles.3-4 years of elbow-to-elbow training experience is
required.1-2 years of classroom training experience is
required.Training documentation experience is
required.Basic/intermediate project coordination experience is
required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities, BehaviorsMust obtain EHR
Support Analyst Certification within three months of
employment.Must obtain Clinical Content Builder Certification if
clinically certified or licensed within six months of
employment.Knowledge of adult learning theories, teaching
strategies, training methodologies, and basic instructional design
concepts.Ability to perform practical one-on-one and group
training.Demonstrated planning, organizational, and project
management skills.Extensive knowledge of Epic EMR.Knowledge of
HIPAA as it relates to health records and maintenance.Knowledge of
medical terminology.Must have critical and analytical thinking
skills.Must be process-oriented and attentive to detail.Ability to
take the initiative and follow through on requests until
completion.Ability to make thoughtful decisions on available
information and take action.Ability to work in a complex, dynamic,
and fluid environment.Ability to influence without direct
authority.Ability to work with a variety of personalities and
styles.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and
written.Intermediate or higher proficiency in MS Office Suite
(Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.WORKING
CONDITIONSThis position is full-time, and will typically work
Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.This position will
generally sit for long periods.This position will travel to other
clinics or locations to attend meetings and provide training.The
noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Regularly
sit while working on the computer; use hands and fingers to handle,
control or feel objects tools or controls; repeat the same
movements when entering data; ability to differentiate between
colors, shades, and brightness; read from a computer screen for
extended periods of time.Frequently stand and walk around the
office to gather supplies, required to do filing, use office
equipment, or collaborate with employees.Occasionally stand, stoop
and lift or move objects, equipment and supplies weighing
approximately 20-25 pounds up to 40-50 pounds.Neighborhood Health
