Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a Linux Engineer in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

  • We are unable to work C2C on this role******
    • Responsible for design, systems management, patching, deployments, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for all Linux based operating systems.
    • Recommend and implement environment changes to maximize system availability.
    • Automate patching and deployments using the latest technologies.
    • Effectively mesh various infrastructure components, such as servers, storage, networks, etc. to a service or application.
    • Provide accurate project estimates, while meeting project deadlines.
    • Document all operational processes and procedures.
    • Provide timely, creative, and alternative solutions to meet business needs.
    • Provide off-hours on-call support on a rotational basis.
      • Strong diagnostic skills aligned to the following technologies: RHEL, KVM, CISCO UCS and/or VCE vBlock, Oracle, JBoss, Tomcat, NAS
      • Ability to apply principals across technologies
      • Experience with Vendor Management
      • Proficient Linux administration skills in support of RHEL and KVM.
      • Thorough working knowledge of VMWare and VMWare suite of products.
      • CISCO UCS and/or VCE vBlock experience is preferred
      • Good understanding of networking and security concepts (switches, routers, firewall, etc)
      • Experience supporting Oracle, JBoss, Tomcat, and the IBM WebSphere suite of products is a definite plus.
