Role: Senior Network AdministratorDirect Hire- Full TimeHillsboro, OregonSalary- $100-130kLedgent Technology has partnered with a remarkable manufacturing company in the Portland market for their open Senior Network Administrator role!The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for all enterprise network communication (digital, voice and vedio), this includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.Skills for this position: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, DNS, Firewall, LAN/WAN, VoIP etc.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES* Network & System Support - Work as primary technical guru to design and installation of LAN and WAN infrastructure - Diagnoses problems with network equipment and performs equipment repair or upgrades when appropriate - Manage security solutions, including firewall, Load balancers, VPN, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems - Installs, configures, and maintains network cabling and other networking equipment such as hubs, switches, and UPS - Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices* User Support - Provide technical support as needed to network/system users - Resolve support tickets - Train help desk staff to resolve common support ticket issues - Answer user inquiries regarding performance and configuration issues.* Documenting/Reporting - Create the necessary documentation on systems and processes - Customizations to any aspect of a system environmentREQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBS in computer science or better ...yet equivalent experience will be considered3-5 years of networking experience, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this positionOperational knowledge of network and routing protocolsOperational knowledge of switch configuration and programmingAbility to install software and hardware on networking equipment and microcomputersFamiliarity with a variety of networking and personal computer softwareKnowledge of computer network operations in a complex Microsoft Windows, Cisco & Security devices environment.We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
