Description The Senior Analyst works to support the Team Leader and Technical Specialists to ensure data flow and proper tasking within the team. This individual provides oversight to technicians and other analysts in support of the team leadership. This position will work individually and as part of a team to support data production in an ArcMap and CADD environment; producing finalized data deliverables based on client requests. The Senior Analyst has knowledge of all aspects of the workflow and performs rigorous QA/QC and assists in training of analysts and technicians. A Senior Analyst produces consistent finished products and works to develop process efficiencies and improve methodologies. Within the Senior Analyst position, three distinct tracks will start to develop: Operations, Management, or Technical. Responsibilities ? Demonstrates leadership ? Report Creation ? Takes ownership of work within the team for execution and QA/QC ? Sets priorities and goals along one of the following QSI focal career paths of operations, management, or technical. Management Focus ? Aware of the status of all projects within the team ? Assists the Associate and Team Lead with detailed tracking and evaluation of projects, ETCs, workflow management and tasking ? Strong understanding of utilization rates ? Ability to understand project contracts and scope of work ? Effectively motivates associates across all levels ? Ability to prioritize projects and tasking within the team ? Provides direction to associates across all levels ? Aids in hiring new team members ? Assists in the monitoring of Management KPIs ? Utilization rate ? Effective rate ? Project performance ? Deadlines & benchmarks ? LEAN parameters for entire workflow (regardless of discipline): ? Value-add vs Non-value-add efficiency ratio ? Data production velocity Technical Focus ? Demonstrates good judgement in the selection of the methods and techniques in problem resolution and troubleshooting ? Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to take complex information and convey it easily ? Ability to improve data processes ? Performs rigorous QA/QC and data finalization practices ? Excellent technical ability with ESRI, CADD and vector-based software ? Ability to understand and apply Python and Visual Basic ? Produces data reports and final deliverables ? Ability to automate workflows and tasks ? Assists in the monitoring of Technical KPIs ? Technical / Discipline workflow velocity ? Technical / Discipline workflow value efficiency ? Takes initiative to improve processes and efficiencies ? Strong creative aptitude and ability to contribute to the development of the unique methods ? Develops or introduces new platforms, interfaces and technologies ? Can apply creative ideas in practical application ? BETA tests new software and methodologies ? Interaction with Products and Technology on current initiatives and goals shared with PS ? Assists in the monitoring of Innovation KPIs: ? Production rate ? First time right Operations Focus ? Works with the Team Leaders and Directors to: ? Assist in process and protocol training ? Assist in execution of internal projects and special initiatives ? Creation of and implementation of special programs ? Manage and support the day-to-day operations of the team ? Works with the Production Coordinator to: ? Assist in contract review ? Support planning and scheduling of internal projects / special initiatives ? Works with the Business Analyst to: ? Track strategic and operational KPIs ? Assist in process improvement ? Maintain as-is documentation ? Works with the Operations Analyst to: ? Prepare cost estimations ? Identify and analyze cost trends ? Assist in project retrospectives ? Engage and coordinate with other CFTs, Acquisition, and Sales ? Assists in the monitoring of Operational KPIs pertaining to strategic implementation: ? Production ? Agility ? Goal targets vs actual Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ? Consistently produces precise and accurate work ? Maintains excellent data management and file organization practices ? Develops resolution and accuracy statistical analysis ? Demonstrates problem solving ability across software platforms ? Shows flexibility when being tasked ? Ability to work well within a team environment ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills ? Provides oversight of tasking to ensure benchmarks and priorities are met ? Ability to interact professionally and effectively with clients Minimum Qualifications ? 6 months of Analyst or equivalent experience ? 2 years of experience in a professional work environment ? Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience ? Confident knowledge of ESRI or vector-based software and TerraSolid products ? Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Drive Preferred Qualifications ? Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering program ? Masters or higher ? Knowledge of Python, CADD, and Visual Basic ? 3 years’ experience in a technical, professional work environment ?
