Job Description:
Legacy Health, a respected leader in the healthcare community
with a network of six hospitals and numerous clinics across Oregon
and Washington, is seeking an Associate General Counsel
specializing in labor law. This pivotal role will address a
spectrum of complex legal issues associated with labor relations
and employment law to ensure compliance while supporting our
mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will provide
expert legal advice, navigate and resolve labor disputes, ensure
regulatory compliance, and represent Legacy Health in negotiations.
Our legal team is integral in safeguarding our commitment to
providing exceptional healthcare and upholding our values of
integrity and service. Provide legal guidance and support on labor
relations, employment law issues, and workplace regulations. Lead
negotiations and handle grievance arbitration processes. Draft,
review, and interpret employment contracts and agreements. Ensure
compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by
keeping up to date with existing and new legislation. Prepare and
present reports to senior management on legal risks and realities.
Collaborate closely with HR to develop and implement employment
policies. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
In-depth knowledge of employment law and regulations Excellent
organizational and project management skills Proficient in
litigation management Ability to communicate complex legal concepts

Certification in labor law or employment law is preferred
