Job Description:
Sysco, a leader in the distribution of food products to
diversified entities, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Night
Transportation Supervisor with a Commercial Drivers License to
oversee and enhance our night-shift logistics operations. This role
is crucial in ensuring that products are delivered efficiently and
safely during nighttime hours, supporting our commitment to
excellence in serving the foodservice industry. Supervise and
coordinate nightly distribution activities, ensuring compliance
with safety regulations and company policies. Manage a team of
commercial drivers, providing training, scheduling, and ongoing
support to ensure a high standard of service delivery. Monitor
vehicle maintenance and readiness to ensure all trucks are safe and
in good working condition. Develop and implement route plans that
maximize efficiency and delivery performance. Track and analyze
operational metrics to continually improve the speed and
reliability of night-time deliveries. Handle emergencies and make
decisions quickly to resolve delivery issues, minimizing impact on
customer service. Maintain communication between drivers,
management, and customers to ensure a smooth flow of information
and service delivery. Proven ability to manage and lead a team in a
logistics environment. Strong knowledge of transportation and
safety regulations specific to the commercial driving industry.
Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficient in
logistics and route management software. Ability to work
independently and make decisions under pressure. Adaptability to
