At US Foods, a leader in the foodservice distribution industry, we are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and operational efficiency of our extensive fleet of delivery vehicles, ranging from light trucks to heavy-duty tractor trailers. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining the vehicles that are essential to the daily operations of delivering over 350,000 products to our esteemed clients, ensuring that we uphold our commitment to reliability and exceptional service. Perform regular maintenance and emergency repairs on all vehicles in the fleet. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines. Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts utilized. Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize downtime. Keep abreast of new technologies and maintenance practices. Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems. Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license. ASE Certification preferred. CDL License is a plus.
