Senior Manufacturing Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing
Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Manufacturing
Manager (Level L) to support the Central Assembly team onsite in
Portland, Oregon . A manager in this role will develop
cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals
while developing a work environment that promotes accountability,
trust, teamwork, quality and safety. Position Responsibilities:
Lead with Boeing Values Demonstrates and holds teams accountable to

quality, integrity, and inclusion on the machining floor People
Leadership in a High-Tempo Environment Leads, develops, and
motivates employees and first-level managers Inspires a shared
sense of urgency and ownership to meet aggressive production
schedules in a dynamic, rate-driven environment Operational
Management of Complex Machining Operations Manages teams executing
operations for flight-critical components with tight tolerances and
high regulatory oversight Coordinates daily priorities, removes
roadblocks, and ensures disciplined execution across shifts and
work centers Strategic Departmental Planning Develops and executes
integrated assembly departmental plans, policies, and procedures
Provides input on business and technical strategies that drive
safety, compliance, quality, delivery, and cost performance Aligns
assembly strategies to rate readiness and program objectives
Resource Allocation & Continuous Improvement Acquires and allocates
resources (people, machines, tooling, and capital) to support
current production and future growth Leads lean process
improvements to optimize part flow, reduce cycle time, and
eliminate waste while maintaining regulatory compliance
Cross-Functional Partnerships Builds strong partnerships with
engineering, quality, supply chain, industrial engineering, and
operations teams to proactively solve issues and drive first-time
quality Acts as a key escalation point to quickly resolve machining
nonconformances and constraints Technical Oversight &
Accountability Provides oversight and approval of assembly
technical approaches, processes, and work instructions to ensure
compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements
Champions adherence to standard work and process discipline on the
shop floor Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5
years of experience with aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing 5
years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
3 years of experience leading cross-functional teams Willing to
work flexible hours, including on call support as needed (including
overtime and occasional weekends as required by production
schedules) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 50
- 75 average size of program teams managed 3 years of experience
using LEAN Manufacturing processes and/or Continuous Improvement
practices and tools in the workplace 3 years of experience coaching
and mentoring leaders and technicians in a high-precision,
rate-based manufacturing setting 3 years of experience navigating
complex cross-functional environments, balancing engineering
requirements, quality constraints, and schedule pressures 1 years
of experience working as a Senior Leader or Senior Manager Conflict

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well
as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: $161,100
