Job Description Our Oregon based team is responsible for improving the performance of Intel's 3D graphics on Windows platforms. We investigate 3D game and application functionality and performance to identify driver improvements. We own improving 3D performance for future platforms, soon to be released platforms, and already shipping platforms. When focused on performance for future platforms we work closely with 3D architecture to evaluate feature options and develop driver improvements. When bringing up a new platform we investigate configuration options, run experiments to confirm results, and collaborate with others to bring products to release meeting performance targets. When focused on performance for already shipping platforms we collaborate with our solutions group in assisting game studios and application developers in efficient use of Intel graphics. With Intel's announced entrance to the discrete graphics market, we have an expanded role with exciting new challenges and opportunities. We are looking for experienced developers to join us in delivering high performance for Intel GPUs. Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly. Candidate must be pursuing MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent Available for 6+ months for an internship. At least 6+ months experience in: -3D graphics -Either Computer Organization or Computer Architecture -3D graphical programming demonstrated thru class-work, work-experience, or personal projects where you either: -3D rendering algorithms with DirectX, OpenGL, Metal, Vulkan; or -Physically based rendering techniques such as Ray Tracing.
