Job Description:

Hiring for a Prototype Machinist to join the R&D Department to create power tool safety technology.Schedule: Day Shift, Monday - Friday 8am-5pmSummary:Perform in-house fabrication of prototypes using a wide variety of materials and processes (rapid printing, machining, sheet metal forming, welding, etc.) to make Utilize a variety of shop equipment to perform fabrication duties including manual machining with mills and lathes, horizontal and vertical bandsaw, plasma cutter, welder, handheld power tools, and various hand tools.Program and operate Engineering department shared 3D printing machines;Maintain fabrication and machining equipment in R&D Shop, including calibration, regularly scheduled maintenance, and routine servicing;Perform product testing during high volume testing periods;Assist the Engineering Department with other duties as assigned.Responsible for shop safety, tool inventory, and 5S organization.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Demonstrated problem-solving skills.Good ability to communicate status of project work and collaborate to find solutions.Intermediate Microsoft office and computer skills.Able to execute complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.Able to wear respirators for extended periods of time.Strong self-starter and able to work independently.
