Education & Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years experience in
group insurance with emphasis on billing, account management as
well as outstanding customer service experience in answering and
researching the most complex inquires; demonstrated ability in
problem solving customer issues at all levels of complexity; or the
equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree desired.
Knowledge and Skills: Has a wide range of experience; is
seen as highly experienced, on-going billing expert. Owns the most
complex customer issues. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft
Suite. Works effectively and with a diverse group of customers and
external partners (vendors). Owns organization and prioritization
of own workload as well as possibly the workload of others; assists
with projects; strong attention to detail; provides best in class,
well-respected customer experience. Is recognized as a billing
specialist, expert and informal leader within department.
Job Complexity & Judgment: Works on the most complex
problems, inquiries and escalations. Exercises judgment and
discretion and proactively analyzes and evaluates customer needs.
Requires in-depth analysis and develops solutions for most complex
customers, vendor and internal partner issues. Owns making
decisions on recommendations for new processes or procedures to
improve overall customer experience or solve a customer problem.
Partners well with others to accomplish goals while considering
other's opinions and new ideas exploring possibilities and openly
addressing and/or managing conflict when needed.
Independence & Supv required: Plans and schedules own work
and requires limited direction. Sees big picture and downstream
impacts of work. Complex work may require engagement of multiple
roles including internal and external partners. Leads the
development of the cross-organization knowledge sharing.
Interaction & Influence: Contacts are division wide
including external and internal partners as well as vendors in
order to provide or obtain information directly with customers. May
consult with senior management. Networks with internal and external
key contacts. Able to influence decisions. Effective mentor,
trainer and team player. Is recognized as an informal leader with
strong level of influence amongst the team and department.
Note: The Standard is required to provide a reasonable
estimate of the salary for this role when hiring a Colorado
resident. The salary for employees working in Colorado in this role
is listed below. The Standard's package also includes incentive
plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical,
dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.
- Please note, eligibility to participate in an incentive program
is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award
depends on various factors, including individual and organizational
$60,800.00 - $106,700.00
