Job Description:

The Manager of User Experience (UX) is responsible for the user experience and user interface of the clients products in North America. The Manager of UX leads a team of UX Professionals to design best-in-class solutions, some of which touch every one of the companys Customers, Service Advocates, Internal technical users, and end consumers.

In addition to being a leader within the Product organization, the Manager will collaborate with leaders in Development, Product Management, Sales and Marketing to both learn and shape product roadmaps. The Manager will drive research and usability with users at dealerships and will be a leader, coach, and manager to assigned UX Professionals, ensuring quality and efficiency.

- Directs the UX operations program team and the necessary collaboration model to enable the UX strategys success

- Develop and support UX researchers and designers by providing direction, inspiration and mentorship. Attract, retain and develop top UX talent.

- Manages the day-to-day operational tasks across multiple workstreams related to activities providing user research and analytics and design system support to product teams, develops methodologies and procedures used in the testing, analysis and investigation of applications/systems

- Manages team allocation, program planning and reviews sprint stories

- Provides design consultation. Acts as an internal consultant providing business and technical guidance. Works with development teams, content developers, users, and other stakeholders to apply CDK standards.

- Collect and leverage qualitative and quantitative customer insights to inform and defend design strategies and decisions

- Facilitate meetings with the development teams, product managers, users, and other stakeholders to share and reach alignment on UX activities and artifacts

- Foster a culture of design thinking and continuous learning that is data driven

- Evangelize the UX practice internally and externally

- Maintain a healthy and diverse team culture

- Influence and uphold UX team goals

- Bachelors degree (Masters degree preferred)

- 10+ years of progressive experience with UX/UI Design

- 4+ years of people management experience, with proven ability to lead, motivate, coach and influence team members that are part of a matrix organization

- Proficiency in UX Research methodologies and mastery of UX Design

- Principles and Interaction deliverables including rapid prototyping, concept diagrams, user scenarios, wireframes, flows, experience maps, design patterns and annotated comps

- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to forge great relationships with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
