Job Description:

Arrow Sanitary, a Waste Connections Company is looking to hire a Operations Admin to our team in Portland, OR. Previous waste experience would be a huge plus! This position is Full Time, the Schedule will be Monday-Friday 7am to 4pm. General Description: A candidate for this position would be responsible for: Assist in weekly payroll process. Duties involve employee data audit/reconciliation. Cross-train on other transactional accounting processes, primarily Payroll. Successful candidate must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality on Payroll/Employee information. Responsibilities and Duties: General office and administrative functions Maintain DOT records including DQ files in SPARC for Ops/Shop. Maintaining employee files for auditing/disciplinary needs. Coordinating various office events and projects Monitoring and maintaining office supplies Assist in preparation of safety presentations Various filing and data entry Manage and maintain relationships with outside Vendors Complete New Hire Onboarding for all Operation Hires Assist in projections/budgeting and track spending to stay on track Handle Operations payments and PO's. Schedule, Verify, and Report back Drug Testing Help to train new supervisors in workday (payroll, raises, and terminations) Help to train new supervisors in their part of Accident/Injury forms---etc. Verify and input all driver vacations and sick time Driver attendance tracking - present all facts (violations/previous write ups/conversations) back to Ops Manager Uploading and closing out Operations tasks in the Cube. General administrative tracking of Risk Console, Osha 300 Log, accidents, injuries, inventory. Maintain the Seniority List for Union employees Find and supply information to lawyers for outstanding lawsuits. Assist all of the drivers with their HR type needs (insurance, pay issues, time off, FMLA---etc.) Basic work experience requirements: High attention to detail VIEW SAVED JOBS The Position: We are looking for a High Energy Customer Service Representative to join the team at our Arrow Sanitary Service location in Portland, OR. Previous waste experience would be a huge plus! This position is full time, in office,Monday - Friday between 8am and 5:00pm. Hourly rate is $17.50/HR. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes & demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems. * Interviews customers and records interview information into computer for customer service, talks with customers by phone and in person, to receive orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service. * Fills out contract forms, determines charges for service requested, collects deposits, prepares change of address records and issues discontinuance orders. * Demonstrate effective use of software applications, at a minimum MS Word and Excel proficient. * Delivers services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill. Interacts with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine service requirements and resolve problems or complaints. * Work in a fast paced, cooperative, high call volume environment. Solicit sale of new or additional services. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: * Work environment is an office setting. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lighted. Our Customer Service Reps normally have their own workstation or cubicle space and are equipped with a telephone, headset, and computer. * CSR call areas can be noisy and work may be repetitious and stressful, with little time in between calls, while still providing excellent service. Some calls are evaluated to ensure high standards. * Also, long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen are common. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English. * 2 years of related skills preferred. * Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Email preferred. Typing and 10-key skills are required. * Excellent organization and communication skills. * Ability to analyze and solve problems. Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. * Ability to work independently to meet deadlines. * Collections experience strongly preferred.
