Job Description:
Job Description SUMMARY Assembles and inspects cable harness
assemblies. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assembles
cable harnesses by hand or with semi-automate/automated
machineries. Inspects subassemblies and finished products by naked
eyes, magnifiers or with automated testing equipment. Provide
accurate documentation of inspection results. Perform start up
verification of tooling and testing equipment. Set up semi-
automated/automated equipment appropriate for the product running.
Complies with established area and company safety policies,
procedures and practices. Awareness of job-related environmental
impacts. Responsible for proper hazardous waste generation
activities, including accumulation in accumulation satellite area.
Supports and fosters active participation in, and complies with,
corporate values as outlined in the Corporate Values and
Expectations Handbook and complies with the Management Systems
Manual. Completes on the job and specialized training as required.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs other duties as assigned. JOB
SCOPE This position performs recurring work with occasional
variations involving a moderate degree of complexity. This position
operates from established and well known procedures while receiving
moderate supervision. Errors would result in increased scrap or
increased repair time. SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITY This
position has no supervisory responsibility. INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS
Contacts are normally made with others within the Company and are
usually made with own department staff and Supervisor. Contacts are
seldom about confidential or sensitive matters and are usually made
at Supervisor---s request. Of the contacts which are made, 100% are
face to face and 100% are with non-customers. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL
DEMANDS Sits for duration of shift. Vision correctable to 20/20.
Familiar with hand tools such as knife/cutters. Superior manual
dexterity and good hand-eye coordination to perform fine detailed
assemblies. Superior attention to details. Occasionally lifts
object upto 25lbs. Strong grip. REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND/OR
EXPERIENCE Ability to perform four function math. Legible
handwriting Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
in English COMPETENCIES Ability to interpret and follow written and
verbal instructions in English. Ability to understand quality
standards to identify quality problems/issues while following
procedures. Ability to comply with EMS and safety regulations.
Ability to understand basic Harness Assembly industry standards.
Ability to recognize common Harness Assembly quality defects.
Working understanding of ISO9001/ IATF16949/ ISO14001/ VDA6.3. JOB
CONDITIONS This position requires long periods of sitting. This
position is performed on day shift. Monday - Friday; 7:30 to 4:00pm
40 hours per week
