A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOSTER CARE COORDINATOR As a Foster Care Coordinator, you will have a rewarding job doing the following: Provide supervision and oversight of foster care program operations. This includes collaboration with Certification to ensure a warm handoff between departments, onboarding new foster families into the program, providing foster parent training, and troubleshooting as needed. Serve as point of contact for foster parents to address questions related to scheduling, youth activities, rules, policies, etc. Maintains documentation of training hours within agency database or other identified and approved tracking system. Coordinates annual training requirements to ensure all foster parents meet training requirements for licensure. Ensure foster parents are informed regarding topics or changes that impact them and their placements. Provide support and guidance to foster parents regarding documenting and submitting BRS notes to ensure timely completion and accuracy. Making a difference in the lives of children and families gives you an incredible sense of purpose and that is why you love your job QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FOSTER CARE COORDINATOR Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus two years of relevant experience.
