Job Description:

As the Client Service Accountant, you will be a key member of WE Communications Client Billing team that coordinates the company revenue accounting activities across multiple companies and business units. In this role, you will handle end to end client billing, including client invoicing, client budget tracking and accounts receivable management, across a portfolio of company clients. This role is in a unique position of partnership with non-accounting personnel to track and communicate activity against client budgets. You should have the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial staff in a timely and courteous way. Communication with client services accountant is both internal and external with our clients directly and a high standard of professionalism is expected in this role.This role can be based out of our Portland, OR office or our Bellevue, WA office with a hybrid work schedule (team prefers 1 day/week in office.)

  • Perform billing activities for a portfolio of agency clients including the accurate tracking of revenue and job costs and timely issuance of invoices to clients.
  • Inter-company invoicing, ensuring costs are captured appropriately.
  • Advise account staff on their clients budget management, continuously educating account staff on business services process and procedures.
  • Create, maintain, and audit spreadsheets for client monthly/yearly activity
  • Communicate with clients accounts payable contact and team leads regarding past due invoices
  • Special client reporting and audit requests.
  • Month-end tasks including managing revenue recognition and completion of account reconciliations.
  • Maintain and enhance both internal and external customer relationships.
  • Understand and meet WE guidelines on best business practices involved in client services, including keeping manager informed of what is transpiring with their business on a frequent basis.
  • Bachelors degree or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting (or applicable field) is required
  • 0-3+ years of experience in general financial and business development statistical analysis, accounting or finance, and operations is preferred
  • Working knowledge of accounting application software such as Dynamics365
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel PowerBI experience is a +)
  • Ability to develop excellent client relationships and build credibility for agency best practices
  • Demonstrated desire and willingness to learn new software applications
  • Must be able to work with teams across various geographic locations (virtual team structure)
  • Client and business environment: Customer service orientation is a must. Job pressure may exist from requirement of handling multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion
  • Experience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations
