Job Description:
Job DescriptionSummary:The Service and Repair Supervisor is
responsible for all customer return and repair activities, as well
as all internal production debug and repair. This position will
assure the safe, dependable and efficient service of audio/video
electronics on pace with customer demand and within budget. They
will ensure the team has clear performance targets, develops KPIs
to monitor performance, assigns personnel to meet targets, and
works with various teams to improve capabilities and
performance.Essential Functions:
- Supervise a team of Repair Technicians and Service Technicians
and ensure execution of all customer service needs.
- Monitor and improve debug & repair capability as necessary to
support production levels.
- Review internal and external failure & repair trends and work
product quality & reliability improvement opportunities.
- Meets or exceed KPIs for Customer Turn Around Time, Repair
Queue Management, Repair Quality, Repair Productivity and Service
Satisfaction.
- Works with Test Engineering to implement new technology to
service product not manufactured in Oregon.
- Manages changes across other shifts.
- Supports returns process at Biamp Distribution Center.
- Responsible for performance management, hiring, and
accountability of the team.
- Monitors spare parts inventory and leads projects to improve
delivery or cost performance.
- Leads and participates in structured problem-solving
initiatives to improve performance.
- Ensures team is trained to adequately perform all
duties.Secondary Functions:
- Coordinates with Biamp service centers around the world on
methods and best practices for product service and reverse
logistics.
- Reviews budget performance with manager to stay within planned
costs.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Attendance is a critical function of this position.Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities:The successful candidate will possess the
following combination of experience, knowledge and skills:
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- 5+ years of electronic manufacturing and/or service
experience.
- Ability to lead multiple teams across multiple shifts to
identify and solve problems.
- Focus on data and fact-based structured problem solving.
- Ability to develop and engage a diverse team to high levels of
achievement.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or other commercial
ERP/MRP systems a plus.
- Experience working with Agile PLM a plus.
- Able to multi-task and remain flexible in a dynamic, high
velocity work environment while maintaining strong attention to
detail.Work Environment:
- Domestic and international travel up to 10%.
- Ability to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs.
periodically.
- Stand or sit for long periods.
- Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching,
pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bending.
- Work in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine
noise levels.
- Use tools that require fine hand skills.
- Visually, observe and differentiate small moving parts.
- Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required
