Founded in 1974, we have customers around the world that rely on our knowledge and skill to help them trade in the international marketplace. Our commitment to being solution focused while providing exemplary customer service has enabled us to sit at the planning table with some of the largest importers and exporters in their markets.

We are currently seeking a collaborative, results-oriented professional to join our Business Development team as a Sales Consultant. You should be a self-motivated professional with excellent client relationship building skills and a strong sales skill set.

This is a REMOTE position. At TLR we believe in doing anything to become the most loved and trusted provider of international services and finding team members that will help foster that vision is paramount to our success.

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

--- Manage and pursue business as assigned
--- Develop a database of qualified leads. You will do this through prospecting decision makers using cold calls, face to face meetings, networking, and referrals.
--- Gain a clear understanding of customers business and service needs to support and manage customer expectations
--- Forecast sales, develop "out of the box" sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
--- Promote / sell Duty Drawback as a service to prospective and current clients who import and export goods
--- Promote / sell all other TLR services to achieve sales goals
--- Make accurate rapid cost calculations and provide prospects with proposals for service
--- Strengthen relations with existing customers as well as build new relationships with potential customers
--- Prepare and send quotations and other literature to prospective clients
--- Produce agreements including all supporting documentation
--- Negotiate pricing and service aspects to CLOSE new business
--- Follow up and follow through with each prospect
--- Maintain accurate records of sales activity utilizing TLR's programs
--- Maintain excellent communication and customer relations with external and internal clients

Desired Skills and Experience:

--- Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience within the defense/logistics industry.
--- Experience with government contracts a plus
--- Proven ability at both building new client relationships and optimizing existing relationships.
--- Strong sales ability
--- Excellent prospecting skills
--- Demonstrated ability to research industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
--- The ability to build rapport, ask questions, and listen
--- The ability to collaborate with our internal teams to craft and propose best in class industry solutions
--- Great communication and presentation skills
--- The ability to negotiate
--- Excellent closing skills
