*Benefits to you: *

* We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees, including mental health coverage.
* The annual salary for this position is $43,632 - $71,112.

*Position Highlights: *

The Multnomah County Circuit Courtin Portland, Oregon, is hiring a full-time limited duration *Traffic Lead Worker *(Judicial Services Specialist 4). This position is part of the Traffic unit and functions within the High Volume Division of the Multnomah County Circuit Court. The Traffic unit is a temporary unit to help clear backlogged cases and to assist other units that are overwhelmed. This unit will work mostly remotely, with some rotational onsite duties.

In this role, your days will be spent planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing the work of others. You will be responsible for training staff, scheduling, balancing tills, and managing workflow, as well as maintaining procedure manuals and resource materials. You will audit staff productivity and work product and will tell the manager about any issues you find and your proposed solutions for those issues.

You will provide excellent customer service, by email and phone, to lawyers, the public, partner agencies, and court staff by answering questions about processes and the status of cases as allowed by Oregon law and court rules.

Additionally, you will accurately enter data into the case tracking system (Odyssey) and will compile data and process filings and other paperwork for violation cases. You will route documents to hearings referees for judicial review and enter judgments and orders, tracking anything that requires additional follow-up.

The qualified candidate must have at least three (3) years of responsible, clerical experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving the processing of financial, administrative, or legal documents.
Possession of a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent life or work experience.

*Special Qualifications*

Qualified applicants must have Law Enforcement Data Systems (LEDS) certification or have the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire.

*Working Conditions*

* This is a full-time, limited duration position currently funded through June 30, 2023. Continuation beyond that date is subject to available funding; however, we anticipate funding beyond that date.
* If you are a current OJD regular status employee, acceptance of a limited duration status position does not change your status to limited duration (although trial service may still apply). See Judicial Department Personnel Rules 2 and 6 for more information or contact your assigned HR Manager.
* The work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
* Remote work may be available for this position. All remote work assignments begin, end, or change only with administrative authority approval.
* Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required.
* Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds and with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances or highly stressful situations.
* Regular use of the following equipment: telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.

Multnomah Circuit Court does not provide parking for courthouse or justice center staff. Flexible spending accounts are available to reimburse parking or transportation costs up to a certain amount each month, if staff elect to have these funds held from their monthly paycheck.
