Job Overview:

Our client will be hiring a Senior Backend Developer with experience designing and building distributed systems. Programming experience with Golang is ideal. Experience working in a start-up or fast-paced company. In this role, you'll be working with 2 other Software Engineers.

Strong experience running production systems (Postgres with Kubernetes)

100% REMOTE.

The Tech

We're building a distributed system in Go (Golang) to manage devices on the edge, so our systems must function effectively in the absence of a fat, stable pipe between the server and the client. The system extends from the backend in the cloud down to actual management devices, so we've got software, firmware, and hardware engineers all working in tandem. No experience with the other areas of engineering required for this software position; what IS required is that your interest is piqued to learn more about them!

Qualifications:

• Experience designing and building distributed systems (Microservices architecture)
• Experience using Golang (a combination of different languages can also work)
• Start-up or small company experience (5-10 person development team)
• Strong experience running production systems (PostgreSQL with Kubernetes)
• Experience building from requirements and/or concept to production
