Summary:Support business growth by providing single point of
contact support for assigned agency contacts during the IDI new
business underwriting process. Proactively manages agency cases
throughout the underwriting and placement process; accountable for
creating a positive customer experience while driving increasingly
shorter cycle time requirements. Proactively reviews agency
performance and advocates for improved agency practices; trains
agency staff on regulatory requirements and best practices.
Responsible for implementing home office changes with assigned
agencies.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Primary home office contact for both external and internal
customers in relation to all new business processes. -
- Assist underwriter with underwriting of individual applications
by evaluating quality and relevancy of requirements as submitted.

- Explain the need for and follow-up throughout the process to
obtain requested information, documentation and/or regulatory
compliant documents to ensure case and policy accuracy at time of
issue. -
- Monitor activity of Staff Assistants, external vendors and
Contract Specialists in tracking and following up on outstanding
delivery requirements; handle service or cycle time escalations
with Staff Assistants, Contract Specialists and vendors.
- Effectively manage assigned account relationships in order to
meet customer service objectives and cycle time goals.
- Analyze agency case management practices and results to
identify opportunities for improvement. -
- Facilitate regular calls with agency team, collaborating with
other team members in underwriting, sales or policy administration,
to identify opportunities for improvement. -
- Provide training and consulting on business processes and
systems. -
- Collaborate with internal business units and sales team through
proactive communication and problem solving to deliver positive
customer experience.
- Train agency staff on service changes or improvements initiated
by the home office or external vendors.
- Lead on-boarding of new distribution partners for new business
processes. -
- Develop training plan and conduct training for agency staff in
coordination with IDI Sales Consultants.
- Participate in department process or service improvement
projects as a subject matter expert. Contribute ideas to improve
own department or partner department process or service standards.

Specifications: 1. -Education: - post-high school coursework
completed or equivalent work experience 2. -Experience: -
- Three or more years demonstrated client service/relationship
management experience in the insurance field, or an equivalent
combination of education and/or relevant experience. -
- MS Office suite plus workflow tool experience. -
- Demonstrated and proven strong customer service skills
including negotiation, training, problem solving and consulting.

- Strong written and verbal communication required.
- Finance and disability insurance experience preferred.
- Practical experience in a continuous improvement environment or
significant initiative is preferred.3. Professional certification
required: -N/A4. Location: This position is remote but employees
must work standard Pacific Time hours; Pacific Time zone residency
is strongly preferred. If residing on the east coast, employees
must be able to work until at least 7pm ET.#LI-REMOTE Please note -
the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to
salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and
comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and
retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours
per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness
days per year.
- Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject
to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on
various factors, including individual and organizational
