our employees. Burton Mill Solutions is seeking Tipper Grinder
Operators to join our team of dedicated employees in our brand-new,
state-of-the-art facility in Ridgefield, WA. Day shift hours are
from 5:30 am to 2 pm PT; Swing shift hours are from 2 pm to 10:30
pm PT with initial training to take place on day shift. Swing shift
pays a $.75 per hour differential in addition to base pay. Come and
grow with us!In this role, you will work in a manufacturing
environment to help produce commercial saws used in industries
which utilize wood processing technology. This position will work
to meet deadlines associated with customer needs and production
metrics.How You Will Make a Positive Impact:
Use a machine to grind a piece of
steel (called saw) round in diameterUse a machine to notch a piece
of steel (called saw) to insert the carbide tipUse a tipper machine
to heat up tip and saw to install carbide tipsOperate a tipper
machine that automatically forms a tooth and welds stellite on a
sawSet up machine parameters per customer's specificationsBasic
programming of multiple grindersOperate multiple machines at a
timeLoad and unload saws from multiple grinding machinesChange
grinding wheelsAdd coolant and empty swarf when neededGeneral
cleaning of machines and areaCross-train to other positions as
requestedActively participate in LEAN training as requested,
provide observations and suggestions, implement continuous
improvements, and promote and adhere to safety standards of the
companyMaintain and track steel for inventory control -The Value

Must be at least 18 years of ageMust
have a high school diploma or equivalentAble to speak, read, and
write English with ability to communicate effectively, both
verbally and in writingAble to apply basic math skills with
accuracy (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division,
fractions, etc.)Able to lift 50 pounds and position material above
shouldersAble to stand at least 8 hours per shiftAble and willing
to work overtime and weekends when neededMust be highly motivated
and able to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining
qualityAble to work well with team members to maximize productivity

values and standardsAble to learn how to use and organize
applicable tools, such as a micrometer, measuring tape, magnets,

problem-solve programming codesNeed a mechanical aptitude to
perform minor machine maintenance and work with technicians to
trouble shoot minor machine issuesAble to display a great level of
attention to detail and focus on the given taskAble to wear all
required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Able to multi-task
effectively under tight deadlines while running multiple machines
and efficiently organize work ordersAble to schedule daily work
requirements while unsupervised in order to meet customer
demandsOur Benefits:
This position is eligible to
participate in the monthly gainshare bonus program for up to 10% of
hourly pay. Actual payout depends on production metrics.This
position is eligible for a three thousand ($3,000) dollar signing
bonus, less payroll deductions and withholdings, payable in three
installments throughout the first year of employment:o $500 dollars
paid after 90 days of continuous employmento $1,000 dollars paid
after 180 days of continuous employmento $1,500 dollars paid after
360 days of continuous employmentYou will be required to repay the
signing bonus to the Company within 30 days of termination if you
resign for other than good reason at any time within the first 12
months following your start date.
