Jubitz is looking to add a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to our Accounting team in Portland. The Accounts Receivable Specialist, working in a high-volume work environment, is responsible for assuring customers payments are posted in a timely and accurate manner, utilizing multiple accounting systems.

• Wage: $22.00 - $24.00
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
  Responsibilities:
  
  • Post daily customer check payments processed through our online banking remote deposit system.
  • Process credit card transactions through on online credit card processing system in conjunction with posting payments to customer's account.
  • Process and post ACH/EFT transactions through the companies banking software and post payments to customer's account.
  • Communicate with customers regarding account payment status, including skipped and short payments. This also involves responding to customer questions and request for A/R statements.
  • Monitor bank transactions including any NSF payment notifications and post returns with any associated fees.
  • Generate monthly finance charges and apply to customer accounts.
  • Process weekly direct bill statements to designated customers.
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts monthly to ensure account accuracy.
  • Calculate customer rebates and remit credit to customer per agreed upon method.
  • Research, respond, and track any credit card chargebacks.
  • Monitor A/R email folder to ensure all remittance advices are printed and any customer inquiries are responded to timely.
  • Process monthly divisional internal account reclasses.
  • Back person for posting 3rd party Truck Stop settlement payments.
  • Perform other accounting related tasks as assigned.

    Skills & Experience:
    
    • High School diploma is required. A Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience preferred in working with general ledger work, including creation/posting journal entries, and performing balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Computer competency at an intermediate or proficient level with Microsoft office programs, including spreadsheets and word processing, as well as 10-key required.
    • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection guidelines.
    • Ability to calculate figures using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
    • Excellent communication skills to include reading, writing, listening, and speaking; strong command of the English language is required.
    • Ability to handle a complex variety of tasks simultaneously while maintaining professional composure and positive approach.
