our employees. Burton Mill Solutions is seeking a CNC Machinist to
join our team of dedicated employees in our brand-new,
state-of-the-art facility in Ridgefield, WA. Come and grow with
us!In this role, you will perform complex machining and fitting of
parts, tools, and machines in support of job shop machining.How You
Will Make a Positive Impact:
- Lay out work from blueprints, sketches, and written
specifications
- Set up and operate all available machine tools
- Perform progressive machining operations on work involving very
close tolerances or unusual requirements
- May program CNC machine tools in the course of making
parts
- Setup/Operate CNC machinery and other machinery used in the
production process, or assist other machine operators
- Evaluate tooling, processes and materials
- Identify and recommend machining process improvements
- Specify, request and maintain tools needed for machine shop
production
- Help oversee the storage, management and maintenance of machine
tooling inventory
- Help organize and maintain CNC program files
- Keep work area clean, organized and free of safety hazards
- Isolate any piece that may not conform to the standards of the
work order
- Troubleshoot machining problems during processes to ensure the
efficiency of the procedureCross-train to other positions as
requestedActively participate in LEAN training as requested,
provide observations and suggestions, implement continuous
improvements, and promote and adhere to safety standards of the
company -Dispose of scrap according to company standardsThe Value
You Bring:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You have over 3 years of experience with CNC operations and
G-Code Programming
- Experience working with Doosan, Mori Seiki, and/or Haas machine
controls preferred but not required
- Skilled with machinists' hand tools and measuring
instruments
- Familiar with working properties of all material
- Understanding of feed rates, cutting speeds, and depth of
cuts
- Knowledge of layout and machining procedures
- Work in a fast-paced environment with fast-changing
priorities
- Able to speak, read, and write English with ability to
communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Able to apply basic math skills with accuracy (addition,
subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, etc.)
- Able and willing to work overtime and weekends when needed
- Must be highly motivated and able to work with a sense of
urgency while maintaining quality
- Able to work well with team members to maximize productivity
and efficiency while exemplifying behavior that upholds company
values and standards
- Able to learn and apply operating systems as needed
- Able to read, understand, and follow detailed instructions,
work orders, and specifications while maintaining accuracy and
quality
- Need a mechanical aptitude to perform minor machine maintenance
and work with technicians to trouble shoot minor machine
issues
- Able to display a great level of attention to detail and focus
on the given task
- Able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE)
- Able to multi-task effectively under tight deadlines while
running multiple machines and efficiently organizing work
orders
- Able to schedule daily work requirements while unsupervised in
order to meet customer demandsOur Benefits:
This position is eligible to
participate in the monthly gainshare bonus program for up to 10% of
hourly pay. Actual payout depends on production metrics.This
position is eligible for a three thousand ($3,000) dollar retention
bonus, less payroll deductions and withholdings, payable in three
installments throughout the first year of employment:o $500 dollars
paid after 90 days of continuous employmento $1,000 dollars paid
after 180 days of continuous employmento $1,500 dollars paid after
360 days of continuous employmentYou will be required to repay the
signing bonus to the Company within 30 days of termination if you
resign for other than good reason at any time within the first 12
months following your start date.
