Print Shop Support AssociateOur client is seeking a Print Shop Support Associate to assist their organization. As a Print Shop Support Associate, you will play a vital role in the production and distribution of printed materials and mailings. Your responsibilities will include assisting with printing services, maintaining equipment and supplies, and providing support to the production team.This role is onsite in Portland, Oregon.Print Shop Support Associate ResponsibilitiesPrinting Services:Receive training and execute production of automated printing and mailing of client billing statements, notices, letters, and other communication pieces under supervision.Assist in executing internal orders for printing and finishing services.Learn and use various software, hardware, and machinery to produce reports, presentations, documents, and other communication in digital or print media.Receive guidance from senior colleagues or lead concerning paper, binding, and other options to meet customer needs.Ensure finished work is inspected by senior colleague or lead to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.Follow all quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS), FERC, NERC, OPUC, and SOX requirements.Equipment and Supplies:Perform routine hardware maintenance under supervision.Place service calls for hardware and software as required and maintain accurate logs of system downtime and vendor resolution.Monitor and maintain onsite inventory and stock of printing materials and supplies.Team Support:Support the production team to ensure daily schedules and production goals are met.Fill in as needed to ensure production needs are met.Follow all safety procedures and escalate issues as appropriate.Print Shop Support Associate QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent experience.Beginner - 2 years of experience in print or digital production, customer service, or a related field.Valid driver's license and a history of safe driving practices.Key Skills:Able to stand for longer periods of time.Able to lift 35-40 pounds.Ability to work well with others.Competencies:Basic knowledge and skills in using/operating automated printing applications and equipment.Basic knowledge of printing and mailing industry practices.Basic analytical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Working focus on customers and interpersonal skills.Basic written/oral communication skills.Physical and Cognitive Demands:Ability to adhere to schedules, deadlines, and time-sensitive tasks.Ability to interact effectively within a team environment and adapt to change.Ability to work long hours and in variable schedules.Physical capabilities including lifting, carrying, and working in plant environments.Schedule/Attendance:Adherence to pre-established schedules and attendance standards.Ability to work in severe inclement weather conditions if required.Join our client's dynamic team and contribute to their mission of delivering high-quality print and mail services to the organization's clients and customers.Compensation: $16.83/hr.BenefitsBenefits are available to eligible VanderHouwen contractors and include coverage for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, and matching 401k.About VanderHouwenVanderHouwen is an award-winning, Women-Owned, WBENC certified professional staffing firm.
