In search of employees are looking for a career with endless opportunities, not just another job.Position Summary: Communicate through the use of the company's online Management System; Provide support to the Lead Designer and Project Manager through the design process; review project plans before construction; complete on-site pre-construction meeting with Lead Designer, Project Manager, Subcontractors, and Client; Review subcontractor bids/quotes before construction; Review material take offs before ordering; Assist Project Manager in scheduling Crew and Subcontractors; Supervise Carpenters and Subcontractors; Practice OSHA safety procedures including regularly scheduled safety meetings; Prep job site daily with required materials and equipment; Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; Layout and construct project per approved plans and government building codes; and verify all building during and after construction.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Interpret blueprint drawings and engineeringInterpret engineered stamped drawings and/or sectionsCreate take-off lists for purchasingAssist in purchasing of building materials and/or finishesCommunicate through the use of the company's online Management SystemCommunicate with Lead Designer and/or Project Manager as neededActively communicate status of projects during specific project and/or weekly meetingsComplete given tasks by provided deadlinesReview project plans before constructionSupervise Carpenters and SubcontractorsPractice OSHA safety procedures including regularly scheduled safety meetingsPrep job site daily with required materials and equipmentMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentLayout and construct project per approved plans and government building codesVerify all building during and after constructionObtain Journeyman Carpenter related toolsObtain reliable transportation and communication deviceFinish carpentry skill setExperienced with but not limited to -Carpentry equipment and toolsnails/fastenersconcretewoodplasticssteeldoors/windows/skylightsflooringdrywallsidingtrim workAbility to work in varied and inclement weather conditionsPerform other related duties and special projects as requestedValid driver's license and reasonable driving recordMinimum Education & Experience: Ten years of work-related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills & Abilities: Effective oral and written communication skillsMathematic skills for problem solvingTime and project management skillsExpert knowledge of construction manufacturing methodsAbility to lift and move up to 100lbsSitting (or driving), using hands, arm, & fingers, standing, climbing ladders/stairs & scaffold, and walk over uneven terrainVerbal communication, ability to see within normal parameters, and hear within a normal rangePass drug screening testJob Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to FridayExperience:Construction Experience: 10 years (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver's License (Preferred)Work Location:One locationWork Remotely:No
