Job Details

Job Duties:

Responsible for full installation & programming of fire alarm panel systems. Test all newly installed fire alarm systems and basic alarm panel functions, and sometimes perform inspections to ensure that systems and equipment continue to work according to their specifications, and that every offered feature is functional.
Perform on-site routine & emergency troubleshooting, programming and repairs, in addition to installation, inspection, testing and servicing of low voltage life safety product lines, fire alarm systems, portable fire extinguishers and back flows (certification required).
Identify code and non-conformance issues, and correct according to code standards.
Author and maintain detailed work reports and service tickets.
Read and interpret various blueprints, diagrams, submittals and product manuals, to properly program and verify systems.
Customer instruction as it relates to proper device use, preventative care and consistent maintenance to prevent future system malfunctions.
Expected to maintain a clean and safe working environment, including daily clean-up of construction debris from all work areas.

Requirements / Skills:

2+ years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician
NICET Certification is preferred but not mandatory
Oregon LEA Electrical License and/or Washington EL-06 Electrical License based on your state
Strong knowledge of NFPA standards is a big plus (including 70 and 72)
Online compliance & inspection reporting software experience preferred (i.e. Building Reports)
Valid state issued Driver's License with a clean driving record
Intermediate computer skills - Windows PC/Microsoft Suite
Internal drive, accountability, persistence and a "customer first" attitude
Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and attention-to-detail a must
Flexibility with work hours and willingness to work in an on-call rotation
