Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Positions now open for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and Behavior Technicians (BT), working with children on the Autism spectrum (ASD), providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in a clinic-based setting*About Climb Behavioral SolutionsClimb Behavioral Solutions is an ABA clinic, located in inner SE Portland, with a focus on verbal behavior. Climb provides services to children with ASD in early childhood to early adolescence stage of developmentRole of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and Behavior Technicians (BT)An RBT's or BT's expectations are as follows:Provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clientele, in a clinic-based environmentAdhere to strategic guidelines and behavioral plans provided by BCBAs and BCaBAsProvide clients with multiple approaches to acquire and maintain communication, self-help, and school-readiness skillsDaily data collection of client programmingMonitor and report treatment goal progressionProvide written and verbal communication to clients, families, aids, and fellow team members - in a clear and professional mannerAbide by Climb's practices and policies - which includes (but is not limited to) - established ethical, confidentiality, and mandated reporting standardsAttend meetings and professional development training workshopsRBT and BT RequirementsClimb Behavioral Solutions values the highest standards of instruction and safety -for that reason, we would like our potential hirers to have the following:Completed BA or BS degree of - or equivalence to - psychology, special education, or related field of study(ex. childhood development, speech pathology, etc.)At least 1 year of ABA experience or working with the special needs populationCompletion of fingerprinting, criminal history background check, and drug testingBARB/ OHL LicenseCan be completed/renewed within 60 days of hiringFirst Aid & CPR/AED CertificationCan be completed/renewed within 60 days of hiringFull vaccination for COVID-19 (preferred)SafetyCare certification (preferred)Reliable means of transportation and a valid driver's license (preferred)Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to applyRBT and BT SkillsetPotential candidates should be able to:Adapt and instruct in multiple environmentsAssess situations and make appropriate decisionsRemain objective when analyzing crisis situationsRespond quickly to urgent situationsCommunicate effectively and make recommendations to various agency staff and outside professionals, groups, or individualsPerform general clerical duties including maintain accurate client records and preparing clear and concise reportsUse a computer and behavioral software to prepare documents and maintain client recordsWork independently and make decisions within the framework of established guidelinesFollow guidance from senior level staff to enhance own professional developmentStand for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 poundsWork with a diverse team of professionals in a respectful mannerAble to maintain a clean and organized work spaceClimb Behavioral Solutions BenefitsAt Climb, we value each one of our team members - without them we could not provide the much needed services we offer to our clients and families.
