computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery to produce high
quality mass timber products.Job Description:POSITION
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESWork with Production Manager and Lead
Assembly Technician to schedule workflow and ensure delivery
schedule commitments and quality standards are metRead, and
understand shop drawings, blueprints, product specifications;
process documentsProcess CNC cut files and program machine tooling,
be able to edit programs and translate tooling instructions into
commands for the computerVerify that the CNC machine calibration is
within toleranceMonitor CNC machine operation and safely intervene
in the event of machine malfunction; subsequently investigate and
solve any machine malfunctionPerform visual and dimensional
inspection of parts, verify compliance with job specification and
tolerancesPerform daily CNC machine maintenance and performance
checksOrder replacement parts as requiredPerform tooling inventory
and order additional tools to ensure no delays in
manufacturingPerform tool maintenance, including tool
sharpeningPerform CNC machine repair and replacement of internal
partsAble to interface with DDX software and perform toolingTrain
new employees or current employees on how to operate the CNC
machineProactively resolve potential issuesHelp maintain a safe,
clean, and healthy work environmentReport issues with tool,
equipment or unsafe conditionsAdhere to all OSHA and Swinerton
safety practices and proceduresComplete other responsibilities as
assignedMINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEProven experience as a CNC
operatorAbility to program machine tooling and operate precise
measuring equipmentAbility to read and comprehend schematic
engineering drawings and blueprintsComputer savvy, comfortable
operating 3D CAD softwareMechanical aptitude, good math skills, and
strong problem-solving abilityGood communication skillsAble to
competently perform visual inspection of finished partsFamiliarity
with power tools, forklift and overhead craneAble to meet physical
demands of the job: standing for extended periods, lifting loads up
to 50 pounds, squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool
beltComfortable working in a variety of weather conditionsStrong
sense of urgencyForklift certificateOverhead crane training and
certificationRigging training and certificationAlways uphold
