Responsible for a full range of learning and development
activities for instructor-led and web-based training and learning
programs. Conducts needs assessments, designs and develops
curriculums/instructional plans, delivers training, evaluates
training programs for effectiveness, and consults on a broad array
of learning and development issues. Advises on appropriate
instructional technologies, including e-learning/web-based
NEEDS ASSESSMENT: Conducts highly complex needs assessments for
individuals and teams and provides on-going analysis of learning
programs across a broad spectrum of positions (typically a large
functional area or program-wide initiative) to ensure
- INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN&DEVELOPMENT: Designs and develops
highly complex course curricula and related content and materials.
May oversee development of curricula or programs by other learning
consultants in support of an assigned functional area. May evaluate
and identify necessary improvements to existing training programs
or curricula by other learning consultants.
- TRAINING DELIVERY: Delivers customized training programs based
on client needs or for large functional areas.
- PROGRAM EVALUATION: Evaluates highly complex programs for
effectiveness and desired outcomes and utilizes feedback to
initiate changes, refinements and improvements.
- CONSULTING: Develops strategic plans for development of
training curricula, professional development and technical
programs. Consults with leaders of major constituency groups within
the organization to assess, trend and analyze learning needs of
employees across the region based on current and future strategic
plans. Stays with current trends in learning, training and
development research including theory, motivation theory and new
materials, methods and techniques.
- Serves as a master trainer providing training and coaching to
trainers and learning consultants. May be responsible for
leadership of learning/instructional design projects.
- The above areas may be executed in an e-learning environment.
May also apply to the need for general learning and development
background to compliment a learning systems enterprise.
Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in learning,
instructional design, instructional delivery, training technology,
or e-learning applications, required..
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in human resources, education or
training technology, or related field OR four (4) years of
experience in a directly related field.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
License, Certification, Registration
Being intuitive and having ability to read people are very helpful
as is ability to produce attractive visuals either in preparation
for training programs or live during organization development
Working knowledge of data collection, analysis and statistical
Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in the following: Oral

Superior training/facilitation skills; Modeling, monitoring,
coaching, and crediting, as well as at empowering others and teams;

Thorough knowledge of policies, practices and systems.
Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts,
practices, and standards.
Full knowledge of industry practices.
Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in
applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other related

Additional experience with management continuity/succession
