Job Description:
Responsible for a full range of learning and development
activities for instructor-led and web-based training and learning
programs. Conducts needs assessments, designs and develops
curriculums/instructional plans, delivers training, evaluates
training programs for effectiveness, and consults on a broad array
of learning and development issues. Advises on appropriate
instructional technologies, including e-learning/web-based
formats.
Essential Functions:
NEEDS ASSESSMENT: Conducts highly complex needs assessments for
individuals and teams and provides on-going analysis of learning
programs across a broad spectrum of positions (typically a large
functional area or program-wide initiative) to ensure
effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in learning,
instructional design, instructional delivery, training technology,
or e-learning applications, required..
Education
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in human resources, education or
training technology, or related field OR four (4) years of
experience in a directly related field.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
required.
License, Certification, Registration
N/A.
Additional Requirements:
Being intuitive and having ability to read people are very helpful
as is ability to produce attractive visuals either in preparation
for training programs or live during organization development
activity preferred.
Working knowledge of data collection, analysis and statistical
techniques preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in the following: Oral
communication; Written communication; TQM and team concepts;
Superior training/facilitation skills; Modeling, monitoring,
coaching, and crediting, as well as at empowering others and teams;
Customer Service; Interpersonal relations; Influence/negotiation;
Creativity/innovation; Team building; Teamwork; Group process
facilitation; and Group presentations.
Thorough knowledge of policies, practices and systems.
Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts,
practices, and standards.
Full knowledge of industry practices.
Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in
applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other related
fields.
Proficient in use of: word processing, spreadsheets&scheduling
software.
Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership
environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional experience with management continuity/succession
planning preferred.
Master's degree with emphasis in human resources/education,
e-learning, training technology, or related field OR two (2) years
of experience in a directly related field preferred.
