Job Description:
Summary: Assists Quality Management in the maintenance of
overall product quality and safety. Assists in the effective
completion of tasks and documentation of Food Safety and Quality
responsibilities. In event of absence position will be filled by
the Sr. Quality Technician or Quality Tech Level III.Essential
Duties and Responsibilities Receives leadership and daily direction
from Food Safety and Quality Supervisor. Routinely observes
shipping and receiving activities in warehouse related to HACCP,
SSOP, GMPs and other Quality related activities to assure
consistency and conformance to standards, as well as providing
improvement suggestions. Completes Sampling of Raw Materials at
receipt Monitor standards and controls in relation to incoming raw
materials. Conducts Food Safety Inspections in the warehouse
environment Assists in the effective completion and documentation
of Daily, Weekly and Monthly tasks including Equipment
Calibrations, Warehouse Inspections, Label Inspection, etc. Execute
quantitative and qualitative tests on raw materials, water sources,
in-process samples including, but not limited to viscosity, solids,
pH, brix and color Informs the team of raw material issues Complete
Quality related production records utilizing paper records and
SafetyChain software. Demonstrates knowledge in maintaining
adherence to IP Programs which may include Organic Processing,
Non-GMO, Gluten free, Halal, Kosher Notifies Senior Quality
Technician or Tech Level 3 when non-conformances are noted, assists
with scheduling product evaluations, and assuring proper
documentation. Assists Quality Management with verification and
validation by collecting required data. Perform regular swabbing
for environmental testing Tracking, verification and data entry of
raw material specification and COAs. Operate, maintain and
calibrate laboratory instruments as required Ensure compliance of
incoming labels and packaging Maintain the condition of the Quality
supplies required for daily operation. Organize finished product
retains Filing Quality documentation as requested. Other duties
with similar skill, work conditions, and responsibilities as
assigned. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma
preferred. Education PreferredHigh School or better. Preferred 2
year: Quality Assurance Preferred 1 year: Data Entry Preferred 1
year: GMP and SSOP daily inspections
