To learn more, view our company overview video at or visit our web site at: OverviewESS is looking for a motivated, hard-working Manufacturing Technician to join our System Integration team. This person is responsible for constructing and integrating plumbing, electrical, and sub- assemblies of large battery systems. The ideal candidate is someone who adaptable and understands the culture, the rigor, and the challenges of a start-up environment.This is a Swing shift position based at our manufacturing facility in Wilsonville located at 26440 SW Parkway AvenueWhat youll do at ESS.Construct, assemble, and leak check PVC plumbing assemblies.Construct and install electrical conduit and junction boxes.Connection of cables to other electrical assemblies per schematics.Use hand or powered tools for the construction and assembly of PVC plumbing and electrical parts.Operate drill press, miter saw, grinders, table saw etc.Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment per pre-defined procedures to evaluate performance of assemblies and record results.Work with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to improve system assembly process and quality.Perform in-process quality control inspections per pre-defined procedures to ensure the quality of the work performed and the functionality of the components and/or modules.Maintain clean working environment.What you bring to the table.Minimum requirements:High School Diploma or GEDAbility to follow job required Standards and Safety Protocols, per pre-defined processes.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and procedures.Ability to prepare and terminate cables.Familiar with data collection and entry. Ability to take and follow detailed notes.Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a small, dynamic team.Ability to fluently read and write English, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to wear Personal Protection Equipment according to OSHA rules and regulations.Wed love to see:MS Excel skillsExperience in a manufacturing environment with dynamic daily priorities.Experience in new-product introduction and scale to manufacturing.Physical Demands.Frequent to constant movement throughout the day.Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
