to apply. Position Description: Engineering Interns learn about and
contribute to the administration of one or more engineering scopes
on an assigned construction project or as part of a Department
team, assisting with budget, scheduling, communication, BIM, and
other matters as assigned by a supervising engineer. Engineering
Interns will interface regularly on site with Engineers, Project
Managers, Superintendents, Safety Professionals, and Skilled Labor,
and will have the opportunity to work with departments such as
Finance, Pre-construction, and VDC as their project requires.
Engineering Interns are regularly pulled together as a group for
job walks, learning events, and social opportunities across the
business unit. Engineering Interns will be presented with
opportunities to serve on specialty committees and industry events
that align with their individual interests.Reports To: Project
Engineer or EngineerEssential Duties & Responsibilities*:
Qualifications: Degree in progress in formal engineering,
construction management, EH&S, or architectural training.
Building construction experience and summer internship/co-op
experience in construction highly desirable. Knowledge of general
contract, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications also
desirable. Must have good interpersonal and teamwork skills, desire
to learn, ability to communicate well, both verbally and in
writing. Should be proficient with computer applications as
required to perform responsibilities.
