Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Construction Project Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

  • Provide administrative support to Construction and Project Managers as integral part of team managing construction phase of transportation projects.
  • Track and distribute Requests for Information and submittals, keeping project team aware of internal and contractual deadlines, escalating to construction management as needed.
  • Work closely with Inspectors, Construction Manager, contractor, and other field staff to: communicate documentation requirements; ensure proper and timely completion of paperwork; resolve questions regarding missing information or paperwork; and obtain approval for contractor payments.
  • Collaborate with governmental agency personnel to resolve contractual questions and ensure project documentation meets compliance standards.
  • Respond to client questions or requests on a timely basis.
  • Work with Construction Manager to track project schedule and ensure appropriate documentation has been completed by contractor and project team throughout the project.
  • Organize and file project documentation on multiple projects.
  • Interface with project team to track and resolve construction project issues.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings.
  • Create meeting agendas, materials and meeting notes.
  • Archive construction documentation when projects are completed.
  • Other duties and project work as needed. Qualifications
    Required Qualifications
    • Strong administrative or project coordination background.
    • Organized and detail oriented.
    • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
    • Independent worker, able to set internal deadlines, track project issues, and stay in consistent communication with project teams.
    • Ability to professionally interact on a regular basis with variety of project teams, sub-consultants, contractors, state agencies, and clients.
    • Experience managing competing priorities across multiple projects. Preferred Qualifications
      • Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience in construction support.
