Time Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Portland, a subsidiary of Time Auto Group, is looking for a Flat Rate Service Technician to join our growing team!

Schedule: TBD, must be able to work Saturdays

Compensation: $25 - $32 per flagged hour DOE + bonuses for meeting flagged hour goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' Service Technician or Auto Mechanic experience required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Own some basic tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required.
  • B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve.
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

      • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
      • Diagnoses vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
      • Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
      • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer. Warranty parts must be returned to the parts department and signed off on RO.
      • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
      • Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
      • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
      • Road tests vehicles including inventory and client vehicles.
        This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
