-We are looking for a Vice President, Sales to lead our rapidly
growing Sales team. The outbound team consists of Business
Development Representatives, Account Executives, Account Managers,
Team Leads, and Sales Managers. The ideal candidate is highly
motivated and a successful leader. You are comfortable overseeing
the full lifecycle of Sales from qualifying and closing leads to
upselling and retention. You'll work closely with Marketing to
create an inbound funnel and oversee our emerging inbound Sales
team.Essential functions:
- Evolve the sales organizational structure to be efficient and
productive as we quickly scale.
- Develop and implement strategies for meeting and exceeding
quarterly sales goals with a focus on new Host acquisition,
retention/renewal, and Host satisfaction.
- Build a culture of success and collaboration that embodies our
core values.
- Coach and mentor Sales management in becoming great
leaders.
- Hire and retain sales talent at the individual contributor and
management levels.
- Define and coordinate Sales training programs that enable staff
to achieve their maximum potential and support company
objectives.
- Develop programs and implement technology that improves
productivity, decreases ramp time, and increases overall team
performance.
- Oversee Sales compensation and scalable incentive programs that
motivate the team to achieve their sales targets.
- Scale our territory assignment and expansion methodology for
identifying and assigning new markets.
- Own the sales goal and provide detailed and accurate
weekly/monthly/quarterly sales forecasting and pipeline reports to
Leadership and the board.
- Partner collaboratively with Product, Marketing, and other
functions and leaders.Milestones:
- 100% to plan for $ bookings in 2023.
- Grow sales org from 20 to 50.
- Build out middle management for all functions.
- Establish right ratio of BDR:AE:AM.
- Scale our territory assignment and expansion methodology.
- Create motivating incentive programs.
- Hire for Sale Operations.
- Build strategy for maximizing Host retention.
- Develop process for gathering Host feedback throughout each
stage of funnel.Qualifications:
- Experience leading and growing inside sales organizations.
- Inspirational leader and culture builder with exceptional
communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of sales strategies and methodologies.
- Ability to build creative and collaborative teams with
performance-driven mindsets.
- Proven track record developing and implementing successful
Sales programs.
- Data-driven and proficient using CRM software (we use
Hubspot).
- Quick to recognize trends and stay ahead of them.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and build processes from
scratch.
- Proven ability to engage and influence cross-functionally.
- Prior experience working in a start-up or high-growth
environment.
