Immediate need for a talented -Purchasing Agent Buyer with experience in the industry.This is a 12+ - Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Portland, OR(Hybrid). -Please review the job description below. -

Pay Range: $15- $19/hour. -Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability and other relevant factors.
  
• Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.
  
• Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
  
• Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
  
• Prepare documents for executive management to provide critical input for operational and strategic decision making
  
  Key Requirements and Technology Experience: -
  
  
  • 
    
  • 3 years' experience in buying/purchasing roles.
    
  • Experience with purchasing and supplier management.
    
  • Some experience with power point.
    
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
    
  • Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals and other technical data.
    
  • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
    
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing.
    
  • Knowledge of supply chain management.
    
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
    
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel analysis and Powerpoint presentations techniques.
    
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related business field required.
    
  • First experience in Purchasing or Finance related tasks required.
