Summary: The Aquaculture Account Manager – Wholesale plays a mission-critical role in developing, growing, and supporting wholesale customer accounts for Pacific Seafood’s farm-raised species. This role is ideal for someone who understands the aquaculture value chain, thrives in a consultative sales environment, and can manage large-scale wholesale partnerships with precision and professionalism. Key Responsibilities 1. Wholesale Sales Strategy and Market Development: Develop and execute sales strategies focused on wholesale distribution channels for aquaculture products. Grow revenue within existing wholesale accounts while expanding into targeted new wholesale markets. Evaluate product movement, inventory turns, and market availability to align sales efforts with production cycles. Partner closely with farming, processing, and supply chain teams to understand product forecasts and market constraints. KPIs: Year-over-year wholesale revenue growth (target %); Number of new wholesale accounts opened per quarter. 2. Wholesale Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with wholesale distributors, key buyers, and supply chain stakeholders. Provide reliable communication regarding availability, harvest timing, product specs, pricing, and logistics. Respond to escalations related to quality, fill rate, or service issues. Conduct regular business reviews with wholesale partners. KPIs: Customer retention rate; Reduction in service escalations 3. Financial Management and Forecasting: Develop pricing strategies tailored to wholesale markets while balancing margin and competitiveness. Monitor account profitability and distribution margins. Provide weekly/monthly forecasts and risk updates. Analyze trends related to demand, seasonality, and competitor activity. KPIs: Gross Margin performance vs target; Forecast accuracy 4. Sales Support, Planning, & Resource Utilization: Create and execute account-specific sales plans and promotions. Prepare quotes, bids, and custom pricing. Collaborate with inventory and logistics to optimize order fulfillment. Represent Pacific Seafood at industry events. Create, maintain, and execute territory sales plans. KPIs: Accuracy & Timeliness of reporting Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position. What you bring to Pacific Seafood Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university A minimum of 5 years of perishable food sales experience Valid driver’s license Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) Preferred: Seafood/protein work experience Bilingual Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member: Must be available to work Monday–Friday during regular working hours, with occasional weekend duties. Ability to maintain a stationary position 80% of the time, with intermittent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and/or crawling. Ability to move and transport documents, equipment, or other items weighing up to 50 pounds across various locations for different team members, departments, and events. Capable of occasional travel as required by duties, demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness in diverse locations. Capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, including a calculator, copy machine, and printer. Capable of frequently communicating with team members and stakeholders, accurately conveying detailed or important spoken instructions. Capable of perceiving visuals for activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, and engaging in extensive reading.
