better together. Position Summary Responsible for the on-going
service and retention of all medical and dental accounts assigned
including negotiating with underwriting, positioning the renewal
with the broker, and retaining the business. Primary market segment
is group size 51-99 medical and dental. This includes personal
service calls to agents and accounts, responding to both written
and verbal inquiries from agents and/or accounts, and includes
attending requested meetings by the agents or groups. Objective is
to support the financial and membership growth of Moda and its
affiliates. This is a hybrid position based in Portland, Oregon.
Pay Range $54,668.32 - $68,340.67 ???annually (depending on
experience). This position is eligible for a quarterly incentive &
annual bonus. Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who

Holidays Required Skills, Experience & Education: College degree or
equivalent of 2-4 years in health insurance and employee
benefits/administration field and/or sales and account management
experience. Demonstrated proficiency in desktop application
software including email, word processing, ability to spreadsheet
rates and options and creation of presentations, Microsoft Office
Suite preferred. Bilingual preferred. Fully proficient
verbal/written presentation skills. Proven relationship skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational
skills and attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize
to meet established deadlines. Ability to quickly adapt and lead
through changing priorities. Displays an enthusiastic, fully
committed, and self-directed approach to work. Strong team player.
Ability to communicate the interests and needs of customers and
members to internal project teammates to improve workflow
processes. Knowledge of Medical and Dental insurance business as it
relates to underwriting, processing of claims, handling of
billings, customer service, and internally processes. Consultative
approach to developing a long-term relationship with brokers and
group customers. (Strategic and Conceptual Selling). Ability to
deal effectively with a variety of individuals and groups related
to the provision of services designed to retain existing accounts.
Ability to engage in community/networking opportunities outside of
normal business hours. Presents a positive and professional image
in the communities we serve. Maintain a valid driver’s license,
good driving record and remain auto insurable at all times on
corporate policy. Maintain a current Oregon Health Insurance
license. Ability to handle a pushcart/hand truck and ability to
lift boxes up to 40 lbs in/out the trunk of a car. Primary
Functions : Renews existing business and sells new lines of
business to existing accounts, expanding our reach and connections
with the client. Support sales and retention initiatives targeted
at potential new and renewing accounts; collaborate with Sales
Executive on cross-sell opportunities. Conducts end to end customer
experience which will include an organized series of proactive
touch points direct to client/group. Develops and follows customer
service plan to meet established standards. Establish and build a
knowledge base relative to trends and development in the medical
and dental insurance field, new or revised benefit designs, and
related service offerings. In addition, collaborate to become
familiar with the process of providing information to individuals
representing groups related to the questions or issues that arise
from agents or groups. Perform field audits to assess the degree of
account compliance with our established underwriting regulations to
ensure that these requirements are being followed. Manage
administrative support duties related to assigned accounts,
including internal communication and paperwork. Coordinates
ordering of enrollment materials for customers. Coordinates
resolution of any implementation, or escalated service, claims,
membership accounting issues. Trains and consults with agents and
employers on enrollment, benefits, and electronic service
processes. Perform renewal enrollment presentations. Represents
Moda Health at benefit and wellness fairs. Become involved with
professional associations such as the local Life Underwriters
and/or Health Underwriters, and in other community activities.
Establish and build a knowledge base relative to trends and
development in the medical and dental insurance field, new or
revised benefit designs, and related service offerings. Accountable
for performing delinquent account functions and follow up. Perform
other related duties as assigned by management team. Working
Conditions & Contact with Others Works with multiple internal
departments and externally with agents, group administrators, and
customers. Office environment with extensive close PC and keyboard
use, constant sitting, and frequent phone communication. Must be
able to navigate multiple computer screens. A reliable, high-speed,
hard-wired internet connection required to support remote or hybrid
work. Must be comfortable being on camera for virtual training and
meetings. Work in excess of standard workweek, including evenings
and occasional weekends, to meet business need. Travel as needed.
