Job Description:

We are seeking to hire a Property Manager for the historic affordable apartment community of Helen Swindells Apartments. This apartment community is located in Downtown Portland and has a total of 110 units. There are also three onsite commercial spaces. We are looking for a dynamic Property Manager who is experienced, organized, and enjoys working with people. We are seeking an Property Manager that has at least two years of experience managing affordable housing with strong supervisory skills. Workdays are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The pay rate for this position ranges from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour (DOE). You will be provided a $50.00 cell phone and mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities for the Property Manager

Office management
Basic Accounting
Keeping resident rental records
Working with vendors
Resident relations
Supervising team of three to five employees
Working with case managers
Completing certification paperwork

Two (2) years of experience as a Property Manager is required.
Two (2) years of experience with Section 8 is preferred.
Knowledge of building systems, alarms, and preventative maintenance are all preferred.

Computer skills including proficiency in Word & Excel
Strong communication and written skills
Scheduled on call hours
